1987 Chevy s10 transmission problems?

I posted earlier but I'm going to rephrase it!!! I bought the truck last week and the guy told me its hard to get into first and reverse, you just have to push the clutch all the way to floor. He said he had the clutch and pressure plate replaced and he showed me reciepts for it. He said they said it was the fork but they didnt end up changing that out. There is clutch when you push it down it just needs to be pressed hard and to the floor. Its not disengaging the clutch enough another words. What could if be? COuld it be fork? or is it a master or slave cylinder, I knew this truck needed work and thats why I bought it, I am 19 and a learning mechanic, Whatever the problem is I will fix it.
